Rare. No. 98, issued for 75 shares to Jacob Halsted in 1881. Signed by president TE Hogg and secretary Job. Not cancelled. Black border and print, steamer and locomotive vignette. Thomas Hogg, who was a master for the Confederate States Navy, built the railroad in 1880. The company also tried to incorporate steamer service from Yaquina to San Francisco, but had two of his ships run aground. The second proved financially fatal and the company was sold in 1894.
