Lot of 6 documents. 1) Oregon & California Railroad Company pictorial check issued in 1870 and signed by Ben Holladay as president. RN-B. Holladay, known as the "Stagecoach King," was responsible for creating the Overland Stage to the CA Gold Rush. 2) Four receipts plus one way bill for the Oregon Stage Company. Receipts date 1867 and are issued for driver services, tickets sold, and transport from Shasta to Tower House. The way-bill is dated 1866 and covers travel north from Yreka to Portland.
