He arrived in Dayton in 1862 and was a doctor and druggist. Dateline Dayton (rare) 1863. Incorporated May 28, 1863. Not cancelled. Trimmed at right. The Palmyra district was located at the north end of the Pine Nut Mountains, extending generally from Lyon Peak on the south to the Carson River on the north. The Palmyra district, which included the towns of Palmyra and Como, was organized in 1862 in the Pine Nut Mountains 8 miles southeast of Dayton and just above Fort Churchill.
