Among the sites located are the Fair Play Quartz mine, Rocky Bar, the Menotti placer mine, Ferguson and Wallace, Chavanne mine and mill, Lodi Quartz, and Lost Boy mines. Discovered in 1867, the Sheep Ranch Mine was initially known as the Wallace and Ferguson Mine until 1877. After 1877, additional claims were acquired until the Sheep Ranch Mine property encompassed 21 patented claims covering 200 acres.
