Original signed print by Henry C. Balink. Balink (1882-1963) was a Dutch-born painter who emigrated to New York during World War I. There he worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He settled in Taos, New Mexico in 1924 with his wife. He completed American Indian portraits of over sixty-three tribes. He also taught art and sculpture at the Santa Fe Indian School. Page is 9.25 x 9.5." Etching is 6.25 x 4.75" Signed in pencil by Balink. Numbered (3/8?). Titled, "Takee Quala / Taos, N.M." Some soiling which could largely be hidden if matted and framed.
