Charles H Fish was the superintendent of the Consolidate Virginia. That was the second largest producing mine on the Comstock and a very prestigious position. He was also Storey County Recorder when Storey County was in the Utah Territory. The Orleans Consolidated was a consolidation of the Orleans Mining Company, Autocrat Mining Company and the Pluto Mining Company. The Orleans mine was still in the newspaper in 1889 when it was announced that the mine was going to tunnel 100' above the floor of the shaft.
