Lot of 4. Younger was a part of the James-Younger Gang and did 25 years in Minnesota jail for a bank robbery in Northfield, Minnesota. 1) c.1905 CDV which we believe shows Cole Younger as an older man, after he got out of prison. We have made our identification by comparing facial features to a confirmed CDV of a younger Cole. The nose, mouth and ears appear to match. The Cole in our CDV is older and slightly heavier. Unfortunately the CDV has all four corners and the bottom clipped, which means we don't know who shot the CDV. If this CDV was shot c.1905, the photographer would have been using older equipment. All possible. 2) Two books: a) "The Story of Cole Younger by Himself," Dodo Press, 136 pages, orig. published in 1903. b) "The Border Outlaws, The Younger Brothers, Jesse and Frank James, and Their Comrades in Crime," by JW Buel, no date, c.1890s, poor condition with pages detaching and heavy toning. 4) Modern (2005) brochure for a self guided walking tour of the Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery where Younger is buried.
