Lot of 150+. This is an important historical mining archive centering around the Owyhee Gold & Silver Mining Company and the Poorman Mine, Morning Star, Oro Fino, etc. in the Silver City area. Like the other mining historical archives that are being offered, Thomas Mason of the Quincy Mining Company is the key figure. -Two thirds are letters, but the archive includes a few billheads: Owyhee Gold & Silver Mining Company, Union Club of San Francisco, The Owyhee Mining Company, Banking House of Grant & Patterson in Mountain City Nevada, Virtue Gold Mining Company, War Eagle Mining Company, New York & Clear Creek Gold Mining Company, etc. Also one hand drawn map. A cover addressed to Ruby City, Idaho and handwritten "Overland Mail." A book entitled Idaho, Gem of the Mountains. It is a copy belonging to Robert E. Strahorn. Several Western Union Telegraphs.
