Pacific American Fisheries, Inc. Stocks c1936-1948 About 300 green border issued stocks. Pacific American Fisheries, Inc. (PAF) was a major salmon packing company in Bellingham, Washington, founded in 1898 by Roland Onffroy and incorporated in 1899 with major operations on the Puget Sound and in Alaska. It grew to become the world's largest salmon cannery, operating numerous canneries and a large complex in Bellingham with a shipyard, can factory, and housing for workers. The company's decline began with Alaska's 1956 ban on salmon traps and concluded with its 1966 closure. See photos.
