A choice set of 300 chips from the Pacific Club, Honolulu, Hawaii. This set of chips is well known to chip collectors and is very historic. These chips were used in the 1950s. The Pacific Club was housed in the estate where Princess Kailani was born, the last heir to the Hawaiian throne. She died in 1899 from an infection when she was only 23. After that Hawaii became a territory and the monarchy was disband. The Pacific Club was an historic gaming house originally founded in 1853 by Archibald Cleghorn. It got added popularity after the end of World War II and was the go-to gaming house at the time. The chips come in red, white, and blue in 100, 500, and 1000 denominations. At one time, these chips sold for as much as $45 for a set of three. This is a unique and historic group worthy of any major Hawaii collection. State: Hawaii City: Honolulu Date: FHWAC#: 43678
