California Electrical Works letterhead, San Francisco, 1888. Addressed to CC Thomas, agent for the Sutro Tunnel Company in Sutro, Lyons County, Nevada. Message from Paul Seiler, supt. Discusses sending by express a large Magneto Blaster to Sutro. The reverse of the letter has drawings and instructions from Seiler on how to charge the device. Magnetos generated power to send electricity over the telegraph wire. CC Thomas was at one time superintendent of the Sutro Tunnel. Previously, he worked for the Hale & Norcross Mine. Fascinating!
