Lot of 11. The Pacific Mill & Mining Company was formed by the Bonanza Kings Mackay, Fair, Flood, and O'Brien to consolidate their mining and milling interests on the Comstock. This group includes eleven billheads: 8 are General Expense, two are for the Mariposa Mill, and one for the Omega Mill. Issued 1877-1883. The Mariposa Mill was located at the head of Sevenmile Canyon, originally built in the early 1860s, and run at that time by the Bank of California/William Sharon. It later processed ore from the Hale & Norcross Mine. The Omega Mill was built in 1876 by Mackay/Fair/Flood/O'Brien at the mouth of Sevenmile Canyon on the site of the old Gould & Curry Mill. It processed tailings from the Con. Virginia and California mines.
