Signed by Pierce and Nesmith as secretary. Pen cancelled. Red font. Printed by Geo. B. Hitchcock & Co., SF. Folds, pinholes. 25c adhesive revenue stamp. The company had a bad explosion in November of 1867 that killed 3 men and wounded one other. In 1865, the Pacific Powder Works were located on Daniels' or Paper Mill creek, where the company had purchased a tract of five hundred acres of land. 2) March 10, 1928 letter on Hercules Powder Company letterhead to Kennedy Mining & Milling Co. regarding a carload of powder for the California Highway Commission.
