Pacific Wireless Telegraph Company succeeded Pacific and Continental Wireless in August, 1903 and bought the Catalina Island circuit and stations. Handling wireless communication between the island and mainland and the Los Angeles TImes ran a "wireless "newspaper in Avalon.
