Signed by W. H. Sadd. (1864- 1954) William Harvey Sadd was active/lived in Canada. This is a painting of "The Road to Rue St. Hyacinthe. It is north of the Tuileries Garden , and east of Place Vendome .It was formerly an impasse at the bottom of which was a gate serving as entrance to the convent of the Jacobins . Around 1807, it was extended on the site of part of this community. Until 1881, it was called "Saint-Hyacinthe-Saint-Honoré Street" to distinguish it from Saint-Hyacinthe-Saint-Michel Street.(Wikipedia) Provenance: Ben-Tschavtschavadze collection of Ontario.
