Nine glass paperweights from the 1901 Pan American Exposition held in Buffalo New York. Two are circular, seven are rectangular (4 x 3 inches): Temple of Music (2) , North and South America, I Was At Buffalo in 1901; Big Four Route: Lake Shore and Michigan Southern and New York Central Railroad; Electric Tower (2); Dewey Triumphant Arch; Machinery Hall. The Exposition ran from May 1 through November 2, 1901 and drew more than 8,000,000 visitors. Often referred to as "The Rainbow City," it received international attention. It is remembered for being the location of the assassination of President William McKinley on September 6.
