Edge staining, wrinkles and rips. Still good. Location: Smoky Valley District, Lander County, N. T. On August 3, 1863 the Daily Alta California printed a letter from the Reese River District. It says, "The Smoky Valley District contains some of the richest ores to be found, and here can be seen ledges, from ten to one hundred and fifty feet, with croppings from five to twenty-five feet, and in some instances plainly traceable for miles."

Geneva would become the major mining camp in the district. The Reese River Reveille reported on two assessment in 1863. In doing a quick search, no other mention of the mine was made after that. Information on the mining company, mining district and mining camp of rare Geneva included.
