A stock certificate for one share in the Panama-Pacific International Exposition Company, made out to M.H. Phillips in 1914. No. 5392 issued. The Panama-Pacific International Exposition was a 10-month world's fair held in San Francisco in 1915, meant to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal and the city's recovery from the earthquake of 1906. The certificate is signed by the president and secretary of the company. Some wear, including tearing around edges and a small hole near the right edge; see photos.
