Lot of 2 booklets. (1) Views of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in Natural Colors. Published by Pacific Novelty Co. of San Francisco. Unpaginated. 30 color illustrations of the various buildings which comprised this 1915 world's fair held in San Francisco to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal as well as San Francisco's recovery from the 1906 earthquake and fires. Each illustration is approx. 8 3/4" x 6 3/4" and adhered at the top to thick brown paper stock pages while being covered by an onion sheet page with a description on the lower right. Each page is approx. 13" x 10".String binding. Embossed lettering and designs on front cover. Upper left corner of front cover has tear at spine. Other, binding and spine and all pages intact and in good condition; (2) The Exposition, by Robert Reid, Official Publisher of View Books, San Francisco, 1915. Unpaginated. 60 pp including cover page, each with a B&W photo featuring the Expo's various buildings and scenes except for p 34-35 which present a colored panoramic illustration of the Expo's main exhibit palaces. Each page 11 3/4" x 8 3/4". Stapled binding. Brown cover with embossed image of the Palace of Liberal Arts against a dark blue background and dark brown foreground. Slight tearing on cover edges and bottom of spine. Binding intact and all pages in excellent condition. Booklet accompanied by mailing envelope with aerial view of Expo, significant tear through middle of front of envelope.
