Parry Brothers, Sole Agents and Bottlers of John Wieland Brewing Company's Lager Beer. Manufacturers of All Kinds of Carbonated Beverages. Dateline Reno, Nev., Apr. 8, 1899. Billed to Mallon & McGrath (who were Virginia City grocers) for one cask of beer. Folds, glue and paper residue on reverse. John Wieland was a very successful brewer in San Francisco whose Wieland Beer was a favorite in California and Nevada. Wieland beer came to Reno in the late 1880s with the Wieland Saloon, brewery, and bottling works, operated by JB Francis and located on the corner of Sierra and Third. Parry & Evans then became proprietors of the Wieland Saloon. Evans sold his shares to Parry's brother in the late 1890s and the Parry Bros. operated the brewery c.1896 to 1899.
