From the archives of the American Bank Note Company comes this printers plate of Paul Revere's portrait. In this instance, he is remembered for his role in the fledgling bank note industry in the young American Republic. In addition to the plate, which is preserved in anti rust grease and wax coated, are five prints made with plate in the 1990s. Also included is Joel J. Orosz' article in the June 2014 issue of The Numismatist: "Paul Revere: The Mint Director who Never Was." The plate was sold by Stack's February 26-27, 2008 as part of the Rich Uhrich Collection. lot 4093.
