# 640 for 200 shares to J. Bond on March 16, 1904. Datelined Tonopah, Nev. Signed by secretary R. S. Culverwell and president A. G. Cushman. Unique vignette of old- fashioned miner standing with a pick in front of mine building with ore train in background. Some border discoloration, folds at edges. Minor issues, but stock it very nice. Company is located on Lone Mountain in Nye County. They have eleven claims: Maid of Erin, Maid of Erin Extension, Maid of Erin Fraction, Mariposa Fraction, Center Start, Center Star Extension, Sonoma, Solano, Alameda, San Jose, and Santa Clara. The mine, Esperanza, also had Cushman as president. Two months after incorporation this appeared in the Tonopah newspaper, “The first mine to fall a victim to stock manipulation and bad management is the Esperanza at Lone Mountain.” Cushman, who obviously was a poor president, was relieved and future Governor Vail Pittman replaced him. Research on the Paymaster and Cushman is included. City:Paymaster Camp, Esmeralda Co. State:Nevada Date:1904
