Peerless popularized a number of vehicle innovations such as drum brakes and enclosed body production cars. During WWI, Peerless manufactured military vehicle chassis and trucks.The Depression that began in 1929 greatly reduced the sales of luxury automobiles. Peerless was finished in June, 1931. Peerless remained a closed company until 1933 and the end of Prohibition.
