Extremely Rare 1st Edition in very good condition. 36 pages. Full of diagrams (14 with most having two views)and charts (15). The Pelton Wheel was used to harness water power to run hoists as well as stamp mills and refining equipment. Lists some of the mining and milling companies using the wheel: mostly California, but Nevada, Idaho, Canada and Mexico get a mention. This edition belonged to W. W. Waggoner, Nevada County surveyor and Debris Commissioner of California. Includes a one page article titled, "Lester Allen Pelton (1829-1908), the inventor, and his Pelton Water Wheel" and a promo for the book.
