This pendant stone is 4.75 in./ 121 mm in length and 2.125 in./ 54 mm at its widest point. The stone has one drilled hole near the narrow end and appears to have been drilled with two sizes of drill for a tapered hole from both sides. It weighs 5.2 oz. and is a gray/green shale material. This type of stone ornament are found in the Ohio river valley area and parts of Ontario, Canada but rarely anywhere else. This piece has been shaped and polished with minor flaws left in after polishing. This piece was found in Wyandot County, Ohio. From the Bracken collection. Please see photos for details.
