This is a selection from the historic Wigwam collection of Fernley, Nevada in a 16 in. X 20 in. walnut frame. This collection is an oddity because the materials presented are a grouping based on the quantities of bone and beads found but the original organic materials used is long gone and replaced by modern tanned leather. The grouping now represents two bracelets and three necklaces. The bracelets are of a bead material while the necklaces are of hollow bones. The center piece is a symmetrical pendant of unknown origin. It is not known if this pendant is of musculus material or man-made? The bones are all hollow which could be the wings of a large bird. One necklace is thought to be of bird bone, claws and vertebrae. Please see the photo for details and hopefully this collection brings a scientific meaning to its owner.
