Railroad never actually operated and not a single mile of railroad track was ever laid for this railroad line! Organized on April 22, 1870. June 3, 1871 groundbreaking ceremony was held. Railroad was caught in the disastrous economic collapse in Panic of 1873. No rail track was ever laid!
