This lot contains five (5) different styles of handcuffs or personal restraint devices. There is the Argus "Iron Claw" type 4 made in Chicago, Ill. Invented in 1931 this one is version 4 with two patent dates and covered claw teeth, made between 1935 and 1960. A similar device has two t-bar handles that inter-lock with a loose chain between. However, once you give this bar a twist to tighten the chain, it is game-over for the bad guy. A second t-bar restraint is without chain but has a ratcheting flat spring. Once the owner holds the t-bar tight, it will not let go. Not marked by the manufacturer. A large frame cuff may also be used as ankle cuffs, no makers mark. A very clever pair of hand cuffs has a lever release only after the key is inserted. So take your time and don't move. Keys for all. Please see photos for details.
