Looks like a printer's proof. Unissed, bot notes on cert say "1851 Feb." and "500 copies 1/2 lbs(?). Certainly directions to the printer. Printer is an unusual John C. Clark, 68 Dock Street. Native American / American families vignette. Tears at corners. Some light discoloration. Very early 1851 mining company. This appears to be the first in a series of mining investments made by Philadelphia parties. This is one of only three mining ventures of the 1850's that was 'hands on' for Fremont.
