This is a collection of photos of specific aviators and their contribution to aviation history. There is a group of photos for team effort aviation records such as Costes and Bellonte the first team to fly the Atlantic as a team from Paris to New York in 1930. (A group of five photos). Lt. L.J. Maitland who flew from Berkeley, Ca. to Hawaii with a Lt. Albert F. Hegenberger in a team effort crossed the Pacific to Hawaii just five weeks after Charles Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic. Arguably the Maitland flight was more significant but unrecognized in history. There is a photo of Miss Mary Stone at age 18 who tried to cross the Pacific Ocean to China but failed to raise sponsors. There is also a photo of Pilot Lissant Beardmore who crossed the English Channel in a glider in 1931. A large photo of a Pan American ship the "St. Louis" at Langley AIrfield in 1926 with beautiful detail.A total of 13 photos in all.
