Two different steel pick heads with broken-off wooden handles. Stamped N.B.M. These are the first Northern Belle Mining picks we have offered for sale. These picks were found on the magnet reject pile on the conveyer to the crusher for the modern, open-pit operation. The Candelaria boom began in 1879, and by 1880 it was the largest city in Esmeralda County. The biggest producer was the Northern Belle where this mold probably came from. It produced $15,000,000 in silver. One of the more interesting Nevada ghost towns to visit. In more recent times it became an open-pit silver mining company. No longer in operation today.
