Note from Bill Thrush, former personal manager to cowboy and Western film star Ken Maynard, written July 4, 1973 on the front cover to an illustrated booklet about Maynard. Maynard, star in over 90 Western films over 20 years, had died a few months before. He joined Buffalo Bills Wild West Show at age 16. He also fought in the Mexican Revolution and for the US Indian service before his career in Hollywood. Booklet opens to a photo spread showing Maynard on horseback.
