Lot of 5 cabinet cards that show people outside of train cars on the summit of Pikes Peak. The railroad is the Manitou & Pikes Peak Railway. Includes: four from J.G. Hiestand:"Climbing a 25% Grade in Deep Snow. M & P.P. Cog. Road, Hiestand Photo." (best shot in the set, good detail and contrast); "No. 1 on Pikes Peak, Alt. 14147 ft. May 27, 1901" (two people identified with pen (the Hiltons), description of railroad on back, medium contrast, some soiling); "No. 1 on Pikes Peak Alt. 14147 ft., Aug 16, 1899, J.G.H. Photo." (medium contrast, forty or so people); and "No. 2 on Pikes Peak" (undated, medium contrast one scratch). Also, one card from F.E. Post (c.1890), poor contrast, soiling and pin holes. Hiestand's Manitou gallery is not listed in Mautz. A very unique set in good condition. (Prag Collection) City: Pikes Peak State: Colorado Date: 1890-1901 hwac# 27109
