Pioneer ( au) / Brown & Co // Light cornflower blue ( not aqua) , blob top soda bottle. 7 1/4" tall, with applied top... different shape, than the previous one in this sale. Perfect condition, except for a little patch of haze in the body. Also, a spot of roughness on the base, 1/8" in size. Otherwise, really nice item. There is also and in manufactured mold defect, in this specimen. It is 1 1/4" x 1/4" in size. It is located over the letter " O " , in the name " Brown" , on the front of the bottle. Very rarely, when molds became worn out, they were patched in this manner. I have seen several, over the years. In the late 1860's ( 1867 to be precise) , F. C. Brown was listed as being the proprietor the Pioneer Soda Works. It was located in Idaho City, Boise County, Idaho Territory. Idaho became a territory, in 1863, but was not granted statehood till 1890, when it became the 43 state. This specimen is Extremely rare , and is only 1 of 3 known... to exist at this time. This specimen is a " Territorial Soda Bottle " !! . Can you imagine, if you owned both the green specimen, and this blue one, in this sale ? Everyone else would have to get in line, when they talk rarity... behind you...yes sir !! ( RH). State: Idaho / Nevada City: Boise / Hamilton.. Date: 1866-1867/ 1869 HWAC# 78807
