Extra rare. Inc. in Pennsylvania, March 31st, 1864. No. 510, issued for 500 shares to Thomas A. Biddle on Aug. 25th, 1866 in Philadelphia. Signed by Ward B. Haseltine as president and George P. Kimball as secretary. Not cancelled. Ornate logo and border, blue print on white paper. 25 cent revenue stamp attached at bottom left. Stamp is covering printer's name. Folds, some wear to edges. Very fine. 7 x 10.75" The mine was near Empire. For years, it was run by David Ball with a 16 stamp mill. Not listed in Hollister. Holabird sold a slightly different and later form of this certificate from the Filer Collection. At that time, that certificate was the earliest certificate we had seen from this part of Colorado.
