Small pin holes. Staining upper right. etc. Core of stock in excellent condition. The Sacramento Daily Union reported in 1862 that the company was being worked successfully. They had a tunnel 164' in length. Coal is drawn by horse paper. They employ 40 men and take out forty tons of coal per day. In 1879 the mine was still being worked. An article on one of the local papers reported the Grace Clark, daughter of Pittsburg Mine superintendent was killed when thrown from a buggy. The mine operated into the 1890's at least.
