1865. Signed by superintendent CH Allen. For a few short years in 1860's the Pittsburgh and Steubenville Railroad operated as the PC&C Railroad. From Pittsburgh to Columbus - this was commonly known as the 'Panhandle Line.' Small stain from tape in upper left. Very pleasant light green on white pass to look at! One in a series of 1865 passes issued to H Nichols of the Naugatuck Railroad. Pass was issued to Horace Nichols. He was employed by the railroad from its inception in 1848 until 1880. The railroad was it was consolidated in 1888. Very hard to find pass. Date: Location: Ohio HWAC # 53536
