Three early ledgers from the Berry family of Pittsfield, New Hampshire. The Berrys ran a large hardware and general store (including foods) for more than thirty years. The first ledger is 1835-1877 and reflects various accounts from their store. Numerous manuscript pieces are contained within the 100-plus page ledger. a second ledger contains the inventory of the store in 1854, which is about 12pp acquired at a cost of $3220.55. Later in this ledger is a draft of a deed of what was then known as "Berry's PArk" to successor family members. a note contained within states that the Berry Park was where the Pittsfield High School is today. A third ledger is a sales ledger from the 1860's. All classic ledges, two board bound and a third leather. each appx 9 x 14". One of the Berry family was a Minnesota Supreme Court Justice (John).
