Two photographs of placer miners around the 1890s.
A) Original photograph of eight placer miners using rockers. Soil was dumped into these rockers and then they were rocked back and forth to separate the soil from gold. This photograph also depicts other tools like pick axes, shovels, and mining pans are also visible. Photograph is 7.25 x 4.25, matted and framed in a 11.75 x 8.75 dark wood frame. Good condition.
B) Reprint of a photograph of four miners working by a river. These men are using a variety of tools including rockers, pans, and pick axes. Photograph is 9.25 x 7.25 in a 15.5 x 13.5 decorative wooden frame, very good condition. City: State:California Date: c. 1890s
