Plains Indian doctor's fully beaded bag with standing Indian Chiefs in a gold square wearing long headdresses and meeting hands. The ends have geometric shapes, the bottom with a colorful stepped diamond and two stylized geometric patterns. Medium blue beaded background. Bead colors include: green, gold, red, blue, cobalt, white, black. 9" h x 15" w x 8" d. The bead work is all intact, one side of top metal rim detached from beaded edge. Incredible piece. We have been asked many questions on this piece, and have consulted with several "experts". The consensus is that the beads and bag appear "+ or - 1900, possibly up to about 1910" and that the age is very difficult to tell. Please consult Your Native American expert.
