Signed by Platt & King (rare to get both signatures on a dual named stock). # 23 for 20 shares to J. B. Low. Signed by O. H. Platt and president King. Namesakes for the company. Dateline Gold Hill 1863. Incorporated April 1st, 1863 (April's Fool?). Location, Gold Hill N. T. 25c Warehouse revenue stamp. Underground vignette of square set timbering. (The Comstock was where this mining technique was first used.) Another unique and masterful Towne & Bacon print. Hole center of cert in vignette. Cut unevenly on left. The Platt & King was listed in the 1864 Collins Nevada Territory Directory. Low was a partner with Platt. He was a stock broker in San Francisco who spent plenty of time on the Comstock. Platt was a partner with Low and later with H. H. Flagg - the Gold Hill broker. Notes on Low and Platt included.
