Framed pony express autograph piece from the register of the Harry House on a Thursday, July 15, 1880. The pony express riders shown on the page are Calvin Downs, William Pridham, and Sam Gilson. Also of interest is Eli Garrett of St. Joe, as well as John Masters, St. Joe. Joining the reunion are a number of other people from St. Joe which includes Will with others, J. H. Miller, John Michael, Eli Garrett, John B Johnson, and J. M. Clark. Beautifully framed piece (266" x 26.5", no glass. Comes with an original certificate of authenticity by Ray Anthony of Beverly Hills. This is a choice collectible for any pony express collector. Look up history of reunion at Harry house. In 1860, the Pony Express was established to provide mail service between St. Joseph, MO and Sacramento, CA. In total, there were approximately 225 riders delivering mail on the Pony Express, and their exploits still live on in Western lore, even though the Pony Express only operated for a mere 18 months.
