Lot of 2. The Brunswick Lode (previously called the Occidental or Monte Cristo Lode) was 1.25 miles east of Virginia City and Gold Hill, parallel to the Comstock Lode. 1) Stereoview, "Noe's Views. South C Street" (left border), "Virginia, Nevada. Photographs Made to Order in any Part of this state" (right border). Pen writing at bottom, "Washoe Mountains Nev." Pencil writing on reverse says "Brunswick?" We agree with this identification, given the lack of buildings and trees. View shows mine/mill facility in canyon with numerous buildings. Light contrast and focus, but great content. 2) Card for bullion deposit in 1879 at the Brunswick Mill, 752 lbs. Received and weighed by Elder (for the Savage Assay office?). 2.5 x 3.75"
