Great History Here! 1) Cain Springs, Humboldt, 1880's, "Mr. Robins postmaster, Please forward to Cain Springs immediately". Sender JC Weir Biography (searched for silver while in the construction business). Extensive biography for postmaster Robins (fourteen years postmaster, mercantile store, part time miner). 2) Crestline, Lincoln, 1910. Straight-line purple postmark. From Jinsaburo Matsumiya. In 1910 Crestline on the Union Pacific Route had a population of seven including Matsumiya. Telegraph operator William Getker's daughter Fay was one of seven listed. When this postcard was sent to her six months later when she was in Lawrence, Kansas where the Getker family operated a boarding house. 3) Pump Station, Humboldt, 1914. Corner cover for E. W. Tregaskis of Pump Station, Nevada. Nice biography of Tergaskis (rancher who live in Pump Station, Pueblo, Bartlett Creek, and Jackson Creek - all northwest of Winnemucca). 4) Marshland, Lyon. 1887.
