1909. You may never see any ephemera from Murphy's Well again! Postcard sent from Mr. T. T. Lambert, Murphy's Well, Rawhide, Nevada. This is 4 miles north of the more famous Dead Horse Well and owned by the same person - John Murphy. Murphy's Well was where he had his house (with a wife and four girls). It would later become the water source for Rawhide. A pipeline was built here to the reservoir just above Rawhide. That pipeline was completed two weeks after the devastating Rawhide fire. More history of water and Rawhide included. Murphy passed away in 1908 and one of his daughters took over running the well and guest house. Her husband was George Lambert. Tom Lambert was George's son and must be the person in named in our postcard. City: Rawhide, Churchill State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 99271
