2x Poverty Hill Mining Documents, Plumas County, CA: 1) Gold Valley Main Tunnel & Mining Company, Poverty Hill Mining District, inc. Jun 18, 1867 5000 shares total at $20 each. Unissued for Poverty Hill, 18--. Small vignette in center bottom depicting a safe and a dog laying next to it. Black border and print by Maryville Appeal Print. 2) Handwritten Bill of Expense of the Poverty Hill Mining Company from Nov 24, 1880 to Jan 24, 1881. According to J.E. Garvis, ROTM, Poverty Hill was worked on a small scale in 1858, also known as Gold Hydraulic Mine owned by the Kingdon Brothers. 4 Kingdon brother's expenses are noted on the receipt, also mentions Henry Skinner and Richard Haskin among others. From 1870, Henry Kingdon extended a ditch to carry 2,000 inches of water and found gold. According to Gold Districts of California (1970), Lindgren estimated that 2.25 million yards of gravel had been removed by 1911, with an estimated 5 million total available. [Ref: ROTM by J.E.
