This lot contains eight tools or implements. There is a red slate slab with one bi-concave perforation at 4 in./ 103 mm found near Hiawatha, Kansas. There is a small flat gray slate about 1.25 in./ 32 mm with one concave perf. from Wisconsin. An interesting concave or cup stone at 2 in./51 mm in diameter, concave on both sides from Macon County, Missouri, purpose unknown. A flat piece of slate 3.75 in./ 95 mm with one bi-concave perf. from Pike Co., Illinois. There is a stone tool in the shape of a stone axe of granite, center drilled and recessed both sides from Clay Co., Ill. 4.25 in/ 108 mm by 3 in. /71 mm. A very dense flat tool from Pike Co., Ill. 3.25 in./ 83 mm marked Hematite. This stone is heavy to the grasp and may have been used as a healing stone to reduce inflammation and pain. The stone shows signs of use and handling. A flat piece of light colored shale has three bi-concave perfs. from Pike Co., Missouri; 3. 5 in./ 89 mm.
