Lot of 250. This is a fantastic variety group assembled from the larger MacKenzie check hoard. We aimed to have as little duplication as possible, so probably 90% of these are different! 1) 23 have imprinted revenue stamps (RN), including 20 different. Includes: Virginia City (2, Henry Elling, RN-G, 1880-81); Glendale, Hecla Cons. Mining Co. (RN-G, 1882); Butte (4, RN-X, 1899-1901); and Helena (16 (13 different, 3 dupes), RN-C (1871), RN-D (1875-76), RN-G (1879-1883), and RN-X (1898-1900). 2) The non-revenue checks cover a big time period (1860s-1940s) and include numerous Montana towns incl. Dillon, Great Falls, Fort Benton, Kalispell, Butte, Helena, Missoula, Bozeman, Virginia City, Chinook, Mammoth, Anaconda, Malta, Marysville, and more. Some highlights include: 1865 Madison County territorial receipt; 1869 Jefferson County receipt; 1879 Hecla Con.
