Presented by the Citizens of Boulder, Colo. Softcover booklet with string binding. 14 pages. Begins with front and back photographs of the trophy cup. Moffat was given the cup at a ceremony in Denver on Dec. 17th, 1904. The majority of the booklet is the speech delivered that day by C.S. Thomas. David H. Moffat (1839-1911) was a key Colorado mining, railroad and industry figure in the 19th and 20th century. He was involved with many railroads, including: Denver Pacific, Denver South Park & Pacific, Denver & New Orleans, Manitou & Pike's Peak, Denver & Rio Grande, and Denver, Northwestern & Pacific. He also had mining interests in Creede, Caribous, Cripple Creek, Victor, and Leadville. From the booklet: "You came to Colorado a young man, poor, ambitious, capable.
