This set of glass slides are in the 3.25 in. X 4 in. format. There are twelve slides in all; most are by Williams, Brown & Earle while others are colorizations of the funeral by Wm. M. Stieren Optical Co. Condition is spectacular. A very rare set. The 25th President, William McKinley, was greeting people at the Pan-American Expo. in Buffalo when an assassin produced a gun while the president offered his handshake. The president would succumb to gangrene infection seven days following the shooting. The Temple of Music was removed twice from the president's schedule but he went anyway. Congress later passed a resolution that the Secret Service would furthermore protect the presidents. c. 1901.
